Immediately following the treatment your skin may be red, along with some slight swelling which are regular results. This will last from 30 minutes to a few hours.
Every individual will need at least 6-8 treatments, but some might need less or more in order to maximize results. Skin tone, hair coloring and coarseness of hair are all contributing factors to how many treatments will be needed. The intervals between treatments vary, 4-6 weeks for the face and 6-10 weeks for the body.
The length of a hair removal treatment may last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area being treated.
Laser treatment is approved by the FDA, who has deemed it safe. The light produced by the laser is in the infra-red end of the light spectrum as opposed to the UV end. This type of light is non-carcinogenic. Lasers have been used in the medical profession for 10 years.
It is recommended to avoid long-term sun exposure, including tanning beds for a minimum of 6 weeks preceding a hair removal session, since tan is a contra-indication for the treatment. You must also avoid waxing, tweezing, depilatory creams or bleaching 6 weeks post-treatment.
Discomfort is minimal. You may feel some heat during the treatment. We use pain free lasers for your comfort.
Long-Term Hair Reduction is defined by the FDA, as the long-term stable reduction in the number of hairs re-growing after a treatment regime, which may include several sessions. The number of hairs regrowing must be stable over time greater than the duration of the complete growth cycle of hair follicles, which varies from 4 to 12 months according to body location.
You may immediately return to your daily activities after your treatment.
