A MICROLASERPEEL® works by removing a thin layer of skin that has been damaged to improve the skin’s texture and give it a youthful appearance. This treatment method provides great results because the depth of the procedure can be controlled precisely. It will be done with your physician and will be customized to meet the specific requirements of your skin condition.
A beam of light is sent over the area to be treated. This removes a thin skin layer and takes away the damaged cells that give skin an aged and tired look. New skin cells grow as the healing process begins to resurface the area. As a result, the client ends up with skin that is more uniform in color, has a reduced wrinkle appearance, and looks radiant. The skin is left with a vibrant new appearance.

In some cases, only one treatment is necessary. Some people, however, may require more treatments in order to see optimum results. Your skin specialist will put together a personalized plan based on your skin’s specific needs. The recommendation may include combining MICROLASERPEEL® with other procedures.
Safety shields will be put over your eyes to keep them protected, and your skin will be thoroughly cleaned in our treatment area. A physician will put the laser handpiece over your skin and a scanner that is computer-guided will move the laser beam over the treated area. The process lasts about 15-30 minutes.
There is little pain produced with MICROLASERPEEL® but it doesn’t penetrate deeply into the skin layers. Most clients find that no anesthetic is required when the laser is used at one of the shallow settings. When deeper settings are required, a numbing cream is usually applied.
You’ll be provided with special products that take care of your skin during the healing process and instructions for their use. It’s important to avoid any direct sunlight or exposure to UV light until the healing is complete. Afterward, sunscreen should be applied to keep your skin protected.
The healing is usually completed in 3 to 4 days and at this time you may see improvement in the texture, uniformity, and tone of your skin.
