BLU Light Laser
The BLU Light Laser treatment is a popular gentle and non-invasive acne treatment method. This treatment is a perfect solution for anyone who is currently suffering from acne issues or is constantly applying acne creams/treatments to deter acne from reappearing. After a series of frequent blue light treatments, your skin may become clearer allowing you to ditch those daily creams*.
How Does the BLU Light Laser Work?
BLU light treatment is FDA approved and uses a laser to gently kill bacteria within the sebaceous glands that cause acne. The treatment uses a high-intensity blue light to kill bacteria that causes acne. The blue light treatment is safe and comfortable; it targets the glands that are deep within the skin without causing irritation or drying out your skin*. With repeated quick and easy treatments, the Blue Light Laser can help prevent future breakouts while keeping your skin looking healthy and radiant*.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
Treatments are quick and easy; most patients visit our office for sessions ranging from 20-30 minutes. These sessions can be painless as most do not experience any pain or discomfort from the laser.* Depending on the severity of your acne, treatments can be scheduled on a weekly basis. After your acne has improved maintenance treatments are suggested to help sustain current results.
Alternatively, patients can choose to do a more comprehensive treatment where a topical treatment is applied to the acne areas prior to the appointment. This treatment allows you to spend less time under the light and often provides better results. Patients that undergo the extended treatment may experience symptoms such as swelling, redness, stinging, and burning following treatment, and a possible (but rare) allergic reaction to the topical solution.
What Results Will I See?*
Most patients start to notice an improvement in their skin two-four weeks after their first weekly session.*
